Hello interior enthusiasts,
At the end of this week, I’m heading off on my well-deserved summer break and I can’t wait!
As a mother, packing has become second nature. Over time, you become a pro at fitting life into a suitcase with style but there are always a few essentials I never leave behind… and a few dream items that live on my holiday wishlist.
Every destination has its own unique needs, so I thought it would be fun to share not just my actual packing list, but also an imaginary one what I’d take for every kind of getaway.
Let’s unpack this together:
Core Essentials for any trip
No matter where I go these items have to come with me.
- Aesop hand cream, in case you didn’t know.. this is a must-have and a great gift
- A small pouch made from left over fabric, where I store the essentials as in my passport, keys, money etc.
- My notebook paired with a stylish pen, since you never know when ideas pop up.
- A small roomspray, to design the atmosphere of wherever I’m staying.
- Measuring tape, just in case I might find a treasure item that I have to bring home with me. Happend to me numerous times already
If I were going camping
- Bar Cart how cool is this one? I mean you can create a coffee station, cocktail bar with it.. obsessed
- Table lamp that is rechargeable, it just adds style and coziness to any kind of place.
Such a small detail.
- Designer daybeds, i mean.. why not

If I were going off to the beach
- Towel, this is an essential for obvious reasons but if i have to pick this one is on my wishlist.
- Umbrella, a classic stripe never dissapoints.
- A Tray, you can’t leave your home without one, basically serving in style.

Packing as a designer means more than bringing what’s necessary it’s about curating comfort, beauty, and inspiration. Even on the move, I’m thinking in textures, palettes, and the small sensory details that make an experience feel grounded.
Wherever you’re heading this summer or dreaming of going let your interior eye guide your suitcase.
