If I Were Redoing My Bathroom Right Now, Here’s Exactly What I’d Choose
Welcome to my pinterest loophole
Hello, interior enthusiasts!
It’s been a little while since my last post, but I’m back and brimming with fresh inspiration, especially when it comes to bathrooms. One of my latest projects involved designing a brand new bathroom, and I’m loving it so much that I’m already excited for the next!
It’s such a shame that bathrooms often don’t get the attention they deserve in home design. I see so many homes where the overall vibe feels alive, but the bathroom just doesn’t have that same energy. People often choose bland beige or grey 60 x 60 cm tiles in an attempt to make the space feel spacious, easy to clean, and timeless.
But trust me, this doesn’t mean those uninspired tiles are the best option, take it from an interior designer!
If you’ve been thinking of refreshing your bathroom, here’s what I’m loving right now
Monochrome look
I’m all for bathrooms drenched in one color It’s bold, and it’s becoming a statement.
While wallpaper might not technically be monochrome, the way I love to use it definitely feels like it.
Trust me, it can elevate your bathroom in ways you won’t expect!

Oh, and a small reminder: paint your ceiling!
It makes such a difference, so don’t skip it.
Playing with tiles
Honestly, when I saw Kendall Jenner’s new bathroom on Instagram, I couldn’t help but think how perfect it was!
The colors, the playful approach with tiles, the arches. Her design team and I are totally on the same wavelength right now.
I can’t wait to see more in the AD design tour!
It’s not a new concept, and I’ve been incorporating it into my designs for years, but what excites me is how tiles are now the star of the show.
We’re embracing them in creative ways: from intricate patterns and borders to full monochrome looks paired with the perfect paint color.
My go to brands for tiles:
- Bert & May
- Design tiles
- Popham
Tile Borders
If you want something a bit simpler, tile borders are a great option to bridge the gap between tiles and paint. These bamboo and twisted borders from Quintalisque are absolutely stunning. I’m obsessed and can’t wait to use them. If you need help with your design, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s create something incredible together!

Wall lights
A bathroom without wall lights? I can’t even imagine it! Wall lights are such an easy way to elevate your space. The right lighting adds personality and transforms the whole vibe of the room in an instant. Don’t have the budget for tiles but want to make a statement? A unique wall light can do wonders. In fact, lighting in general is more important than most people realize and right now, I’m totally captivated by Murano glass lighting.
Kids Bathrooms
I know some people think it’s a bit over-the-top, but if you have the space, I say go for it! A dedicated kids’ bathroom, like a playroom, is a must-have in your home. Trust me on this one!
Your main bathroom can still feel serene and tranquil if that’s your goal, but when it comes to the kids’ bathroom, make it a joyful, happy space. Stay inspired and remember: bathrooms deserve to be more than just functional – they deserve to be beautiful, too!
